IT’S NOT HOW YOU START, IT’S HOW
YOU FINISH
Your
success starts when you set goals and have a clear vision. Don’t think about
resources, age, social and financial constraints. Take first step and enjoy your success journey. It doesn’t matter how you start, either well or not
but you must finish strong.✌✌✌
FAUJA SINGH
If
you are worried about your resources, age, social and financial constraints then
take motivation from “ Fauja Singh” . He was born in 1911. He was passionate
about running since his childhood but his success journey starts at the age of
89. He started practicing hard to participate in marathon. People laughed at
him and discouraged him but he was determined and motivated. He struggled hard
day and night to fulfill his dream.
At
the age of 93, he finished a marathon in 6 hours, 54 minutes. He beat the world
best for anyone in the 90-plus age bracket.
In
2004, He was featured in an Adidas advertising campaign with celebrities like
Muhammad Ali and David Beckham. In 2012 Fauja Singh carried the Olympic torch.
Fauja
Singh, despite a difficult childhood and great personal loss, exemplifies dignity, grace and
persistence. We can learn a lot from Fauja Singh. About the power of not giving
up.
I’m
going to share few point. Follow these point if you want to finish strong.
1.
OVERCOME
YOUR FEARS
To
start your success journey, you have to overcome all kind of fears. Fear of
failure, fear of uncertainty, fear of extinction, fear of loss, fear to lose
your loved one, fear of embarrassment etc.
Fear
is one of the most powerful emotions. It has a deep effect on your mind and
body. It affect your ability to eat, sleep, concentrate and enjoy life. It can
hold you back from doing things you want or need to do.
You
can’t get 100% confidence and efficiency until you fight with your fears.
2.
EKEEP
AWAY FROM NAYSAYERS
People
are always there to feed your mind with negativities like you can’t do this, it
is impossible for you, you don’t have resources, you don’t have work ethics,
you lack in determination, you are physically weak and mentally sick. Don’t
listen to naysayers. Keep moving on with patience.
Thomas
Edison did 9999 experiments to make a bulb but all in vain. People laughed at
him for his poor performance and made fun of his competency. He didn’t bother
what others think about him, he only cared about his believe and level of
commitment.
3.
DON’T
COMPARE WITH OTHERS
Don’t
compare yourself to others, if you do so, you are insulting yourself. Comparison
helps only when you take it as a motivation otherwise it gives nothing except
pain, stress and complex.
Doesn’t matter, your friends are getting more salary
as compare to you. Doesn’t matter how rich they are. Doesn’t matter how much
successful they are.
Your real fight is with yourself, not with your friends,
relatives and society. Your time will come so just wait and see. Have a clear
purpose and keep moving on with patience and consistency.
4. WORK ETHICS
People
who possess a strong work ethic embody certain principles that guide their work
behavior, leading them to produce high-quality work consistently and the
output motivates them
to stay on track.
A good work ethic fuels an individual's needs and goals, it
is related to the initiative by a person for the objectives. It is considered
as a source of self-respect, satisfaction, and fulfillment. Different factors
are:
· Goal-oriented
actions
· Prioritized
focus:
· Being
available and reliable:
· Conscientiousness:
· Embracing
positivism
5.
KEEP
ON MOTIVATING YOURSELF
Motivation
works as a supplement to regain your lost strength. It fuels enthusiasm to get
your desired goals. It sparks courage to finish strong. It embarks your
thoughts to reach the destiny.
Keep
on motivating yourself on and off. Read out the books, watch videos of
motivational speakers and attend seminars to boost up your motivation.
Motivation will not let you to give up.
